The third generation Yamaha FZ FI has been updated with completely new bodywork with a premium and aggressive design. A new headlamp, new side panels, beefier tank extensions, new engine cowl, new tail section and new exhaust design mark the updated Yamaha FZ FI V 3.0. Single-channel ABS has been added, and the new FZ FI V 3.0 gets a LED headlamp, new LCD instrument panel, and now gets a single seat. While the main chassis and suspension set-up remains the same, the rear subframe is flatter now for better pillion comfort. The handlebar has also been raised to give the FZ FI V 3.0 more comfortable and upright ergonomics for a more comfortable riding position. The 149 cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine has been carried over from the previous generation, but Yamaha has tweaked the motor for better low and mid-range performance. The Yamaha FZ FI V 3.0 competes with the likes of the Honda XBlade, Bajaj Pulsar NS160, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and the Suzuki Gixxer 155.
