Kinetic Group's multi-motorcycle brand MotoRoyale has launched Italian motorcycle company SWM in India. SWM started life as SV.VM (Sironi Vergani Vimercate Milano), founded in 1971 by Piero Sironi and Fausto Vergani and was based in Milan, Italy. The Italian brand has had little presence in India I've the years but globally has been known for its trials and Enduro motorcycles through the'70s. After closing down operations due to the financial struggles in 1983, SWM was resurrected in 2014 with China-based Shineray emerging as its financial backbone. The company now retails a range of Enduro and trials motorcycles between 300 cc and 650 cc. In India, the brand made its debut with the SWM Superdual T which is an adventure tourer with more Enduro like qualities and holds the distinction of being the largest single-cylinder engine motorcycle on sale.
