Royal Enfiled has launched the Thunderbird 500X in India. It gets a lot of features that are first-of-its-kind on a Royal Enfield like - new matte black alloy wheels instead of wire-spoked wheels, tubeless tyres, and a matte black silencer. The Thunderbird 500X also comes with a new handlebar, black casing for the projector headlamp and LED taillamp and a new single seat instead of the split seats from the standard Thunderbird.

The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500X gets the same 499 cc single-cylinder engine that powers the Thunderbird 500. The engine makes 27.2 bhp at 5,250 rpm and 41.3 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm, and comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Low Grade Performance and quality

Its just been two months of my Thunderbird 500x purchase and I have had enough trouble. It was shocking to see that the entire silencer came off and it was 9:30pm where there were no garage which were open and the only option I was left with is to search for a cable which luckily I found in the roadside garbage ( accelerator cable ) and tie the silencer as it is for time being. How can one expect such cheap experience with a so called world class brand? I can write thesis, and would still fall short of space with the low quality bikes RE is coming up with and yet expensive. Its a saddest experience one can ever think of but is true.

Pls don't take 500x , royal Enfield customer service as well as sales is worst . Won't attend any engine complaints for new bike.
