No service centre in Gurgaon. nearest 25 km

    Amit
I purchased okinawa ridge scooter from a nearby showroom which got closed down after a couple of months. I liked the motor power of the scooter which is really good for an escooter. However I haven't got a single service for this scooter in last 18 months, nearest service centre now is 25 kms away and scooter can't go too far. I don't use it too much have used only 700 km till date but battery performance is only 15-20 km now. Jab Tak chalegi..chalegi.. fir bhangar hai. Build quality isnt too good, poora sasta plastic hai, don't be fooled by the shine in the showroom. It has Zero resale value, it was a poor purchase decision by me, buy a second hand petrol scooter instead.

    NEVER EVER BUY OKINAWA BIKES

    SANDEEP
Okinawa is a very bad company ,which doesn't follow international standards, i bought a bike one year back and i had a very bitter experience with this brand, company promised me for 50 km on a single charge ,it's been a year and my bike ran around 2500 km and now it's giving 10-15 km mileage.now they are not responding properly, i gave couple of complaints but they never resolved it and more over whenever i go to service center first thing they ask is service chrgs 800rs+tax.i tried contacting the customer care.they never lifted my phone

  • Battery failure within 13 months

    Rammohan Thati
Its battery failed within 13 months and led acid battery cost is 15000, so per km cost is more than petrol cost around it will be 1.75rs and lithium ion battery cost is 32000 RS very expensive , don't prefer electric bikes because I am using since 15 months I had bad experience , while purchasing they told 30000 kms gives that battery but for me it is 9000 kms only so don't waste money to invest on electric bike.

    Dont Buy..its a trap

    SUDHIR BASISTA
My review is totally based on the my experience after one year use. I bought Ridge model in June 2018, and I regret why fall for okinawa scooters , a blunder mistake of my life. When I was planning to buy a scooter for my wife I had plenty of option in same price range that is Rs 65000. I had Active 5, Facino, Maestro of Hero but i opt for Okinawa scooter. I thought i will save on fuel and going to petrol pump for refuelling problem solved . But what a fool I was .They told me on full charge under standard condition It will run 90 km(check their website) I thought if not 90 km atleast 60 km per charge is fair enough for me. But it only last for 42 km, i also doubt the distance showing in its meter as i was travelling the same road for years i know the actual distance. I get it checked with my car , to my surprise both speed and distance have have a colossal error of 30%. it means in full charge it is only giving me 30 km... I report to the vendor he told me its new batteries once they will run they will start performing.I got busy in my life as I was not using the scooter(my wife does). One day my wife told me that scooter performance is deteriorating ,I checked and found that now scooter is running 10 km only in one charge .I report it to vendor...he told me batteries need to be checked only to tell me that sir your batteries have become 60% weak and you have to buy a new set of batteries for Rs 17000 as warranty on batteries has expired. I felt cheated. Their head office dont have courtesy to even reply my mails. I have only one say dont buy any of okinawa scooter unless warranty on lead acid battery if 2 or more years.I dont know about the performance Li-ion battery but still dont buy if they dont give u warranty for more that 4 years on batteries. To make my scooter run i have to invest Rs 17000 more to it which brings its cost to Rs 77000....I regert my decision for buying Okinawa scooters..This is not a paid review ,direct from a aching heart.

Don't even think of buying this vehicle with lead acid battery almost at 9000 km it will shows it's character, very poor performance of lead acid battery. I am using one and after one year this vehicle is not useful. Range of only 10 km 8 hours charge.

  • Its Awesome Economic, Speed, Style

    Ashwin
When i heard about Okinawa electric scooter i thought this also would be flop as Hero electric. As electric scooter are unable sustain in India. But This vehicle is different from all because the existing Electric scooters in india are at the high speed of 25 kmph and max per charge range is 50 kms, but Okinawa starts with high speed of 55 kmph and 80kms per charge and gets charge in 2 hours. as commute for Home and office it is very affordable. I am paying its EMI instead paying to petrol. So now any middle class person can easily buy a two wheeler without hesitating of petrol expenditure.

  • Value for Money

One good electric bike which can give a long range solution, This bike is built on a good platform and good investment really when the prices of fuel is sky rocketing . I have tested both the ridge and praise of Okinawa and i am completely satisfied with what i drove and felt.

    Good But Not Really Good

    Jatin gupta
Hello everyone, i'm using okinawa ridge since 5 months and it has reached about 2700 km's and i've done with the 1 service. For about 2 months this scooter works fine but after that some problems occur like: tail light bulb is not glowing while pressing brakes (the bulb was fine and holder as well it was problem in wiring of scooter.), some sounds coming from handle ( it can due to lose handle column ) these problems does not occur in a normal petrol scooter for about a year but in a electric scooter these problems are general but it should not occur. In my opinion this scooter is not really good as it has fibre body i accept that nowadays honda , yamaha, tvs brands making scooters with fibre body but these are made up of good quality. Electric scooters are not good for roads full of pits it can run well on plain roads. It is true that electric vehicle save fuel as well as money but suppose if their is problem in battries of scooter you'll have to pay about 8000 to 10000, a normal petrol scooter does not require more care or maintenance but electric scooter require more care. I would like to suggest that do not opt for electric vehicle you should go with a petrol one because if you save fuel of rupees 6000 or 7000 in a year or 6 months, i think the same price you'll have to pay for repairs or maintenance for electric vehicle and rest is your choice. Thank you......
