Yamaha Motor India has launched the new Saluto RX 110cc motorcycle in the country, priced at ₹ 46,400 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Japanese bike maker's new entry-level motorcycle replaces the now defunct Crux and YBR in the company's lineup and also revives the iconic RX moniker that was once seen on the two-stroke RX100.

While retaining the design language from the Saluto 125, the new Yamaha Saluto RX draws power from a 110cc 4-stroke, 2-valve, single-cylinder engine that is tuned to produce 7.4bhp of power at 7000rpm and 8.5Nm of torque at 4500rpm. The motorcycle comes paired to a 4-speed gearbox.

Yamaha says the engine, frame and wheels have comprehensive weight reducing designs that contribute to the overall fuel efficiency and helps the model tip the scales at a kerb weight of 98 kg. As a result, the Saluto RX is lighter by 22 kg, compared to the previous models from Yamaha in this segment.
