TVS Motor Company has introduced an updated variant of the company's bestselling 110 cc scooter. The TVS Jupiter Grande, as it's called, will feature smartphone connectivity with TVS' SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity system. The new Jupiter Grande is priced at ₹ 59,900 (ex-showroom), which is just under ₹ 7,000 more expensive than the standard Jupiter variant. The connectivity system is the same as the one available on the TVS NTorq 125, and will allow riders to connect both Android and iOS smartphones to access features like call notification, text notification, over speeding alert, trip report and more. The Jupiter Grande was launched as a special edition model a year ago, during the festive season as well, but that model did not feature the new smartphone connectivity system.
The Jupiter Grande is the first 110 cc scooter to feature smartphone connectivity. A new semi-digital features a new semi-digital speedometer which will offer features like digital fuel indicator, odometer, trip meter, service reminder, helmet reminder and more. The Jupiter Grande also features an adjustable rear shock absorber, which TVS says is another first-in-class feature. The other mechanicals and cycle parts remain the same with the same 109.7 cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine, which puts out 7.9 bhp of power at 7,500 rpm and 8.4 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm.
The overall silhouette and shape of the TVS Jupiter Grande is the same as the standard TVS Jupiter, but it gets some cosmetic updates. The Jupiter logo is finished in a dual-colour 3D emblem now, and the Jupiter Grande features a new and exclusive Tech Blue colour scheme, with chrome garnishing on the front fender and rear view mirrors, with a cross-stitched seat and beige interior panels. The Jupiter Grande also gets new machine-cut alloy wheels and comes with a standard front disc brake with sync braking system.
