Maruti Suzuki Ertiga BS6 S-CNG Variant Launched; Priced At ₹ 8.95 Lakh

Maruti Suzuki India has announced the launch of the S-CNG variant of the BS6 compliant Ertiga MPV. Priced as ₹ 8.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga BS6 S-CNG comes in only one trim option, VXI, and the MPV and it offers a mileage of 26.08 km/kg. As all Maruti Suzuki S-CNG vehicles, the Ertiga BS6 S-CNG is also equipped with dual interdependent ECUs (Electronic Control Units) and intelligent injection system, that helps deliver superior performance and enhanced drivability.

Speaking at the launch of the BS6 compliant Ertiga S-CNG, Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India Limited said, "As a market leader we are constantly working towards offering sustainable mobility solutions to our customers. Ertiga has been a market leader amongst MPVs, and the introduction of BS6 S-CNG will further help augment its leadership in the segment. At the ongoing Auto Expo 2020, Maruti Suzuki India announced its plan to sell one million green cars over the next few years under its Mission Green Million programme. In its presentation, the company said in addition to smart hybrids, strong hybrids, and electric vehicles, the company will also launch CNG vehicles.

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga BS6 S-CNG is powered by the same 1.5-litre four-cylinder that is tuned to offer 103 bhp in petrol mode and 91 bhp in CNG mode, while the torque output stands at 138 Nm in petrol mode and 122 Nm in CNG mode. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Feature-wise, it shares its offering with the regular VXI trim.
