Maruti Suzuki today announced that the driver airbag will now be offered as an option in all variants of Alto 800 and Alto K10. This move shows the company's dedication to enhance safety for its customers.

Considering that the Alto has been India's largest selling car for 10 years in a row, and is still selling an average of 22,000 units a month, the move to improve safety in the car doesn't come as a surprise. The standard version of the Alto with the option of the airbag is now priced at ₹ 2.62 lakh while the LXI variant of the K10 with the airbag costs ₹ 3.45 lakh (all prices ex-showroom Delhi)
