Hyundai India has launched the Tucson with Intellimatic four-wheel drive in addition to the already existing models on sale. The Tucson 4WD is priced at ₹ 25.19 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Hyundai will offer the 4WD option on the top-spec 2.0-litre GLS automatic variant. Hyundai has already begun taking bookings for the Tucson 4WD across dealerships in India. The Tucson offers 'On-Demand 4WD functioning' which means that the SUV automatically understands when there is need for 4WD to be engaged, by assessing the nature of the terrain and implements traction control on the rear wheels. The engine distributes the power to all wheels without the driver needing to intervene.
