Buoyed by the success of new-gen i20 in the Indian market, Hyundai is now planning to launch the crossover version of the hatchback in the Indian market. The company has, in fact, started testing the car on Indian roads and is planning to launch it in March or April 2015. While the car has been spotted testing several times, A Twitter account holder, Abhijit More, has managed to click clear pictures of the upcoming car. These pictures have revealed some interesting details about the car including its name. The company has named it the i20 Active.

When compared to its hatchback sibling, the i20 Crossover gets slightly beefier exterior that give it a sporty appeal. The front fascia of the car gets a new skid plate, new bumper with large fog lamps, projector head-lights with daytime running lamps etc. The rear profile too receives changes in the form of new bumper with circular reflectors and silver skid plate. The i20 Active also gets a roof spoiler, roof rails, bigger alloys and additional plastic body cladding.
