Claimed to be General Motors' fastest production car ever, the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette ZO6 will be rolled out in early 2015 in the US. It will be made available in both coupe and convertible forms.
Deriving its power from a 6.2-ltre LT4 supercharged V8 engine, the 2015 Corvette ZO6 churns out a massive 650 horsepower, while yielding 881Nm of peak torque. With such impressive figures, it's not just among America's fastest cars, it officially is one of the fastest production cars available globally today. The new ZO6 has exceeded cars like McLaren 650S, SRT Viper and Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 in terms of power.
General Motors says that 620Nm of torque is available at idle, while over 90 percent of maximum torque is available from 2,500rpm to 5400rp. So, expect the Z06 to be touching 100kmph from standstill in about 3 seconds.
