Mitsubishi Montero Preview

The Mitsubishi Montero is one of the more capable SUVs out there and will be and comes with the known off-roading DNA that we have experienced on the Pajero over the years. The Montero arriving in India is the facelifted version of the model sold back in 2012 and has been updated with revised headlamps, wider grille and tweaked bonnet as well as bumper. The overall silhouette continues to remain the same, while the rear now sports a tailgate mounted spare wheel.

Mitsubishi Montero wasn't a brisk seller the last time in India, largely due to its hefty price tag of 40 lakh (ex-showroom). With the company planning to retail the model at a price tag of 70 lakh, the Montero gets catapulted in the range of the BMW X5, Audi Q7 and Mercedes GLS. It now needs to be seen if the Montero will find takers, considering the German brands offer more features, power and higher brand value.
