About MG Hector
MG Motor will launch its first ever car in India in the second quarter of 2019 which will be an SUV. It could possibly a Hyundai Creta rival. The company will be using the manufacturing plant in Halol, Gujarat, which was earlier used by General Motors. It will be manufacturing up to 1 lakh units annually. MG Motor has announced an initial investment of Rs. 2,000 crore in India with an overall investment of Rs. 5,000 crore over the next 6 years.
MG Hector Preview
The Thai version of the SUV has a 1.5-litre petrol engine which makes around 83 bhp and 150 Nm of peak torque.

MG Hector is will be a five-seater compact SUV and looking at its specifications, it is likely to compete with a set rivals not only from the compact segment but also from the entry-level mid-size SUV segment.
The Hector sold in Thailand is loaded with features including its top-spec variant offering up to six airbags, ABD, EBS, traction control, brake assist, hill-start assist, rear view camera and more. The Hector is MG's compact SUV and is going to compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta and Renault Duster in India.
