The 2017 Kawasaki Z650 is a replacement for the Kawasaki ER-6n, the 650 cc naked, which despite being a good product, has been a slow seller in India Kawasaki’s product portfolio. The bike gets a new name (Z650), new steel trellis frame, new swingarm and a new instrument panel with a gearshift indicator. Priced at Rs 5.19 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the Z650 is powered by the same 649 cc parallel-twin engine which is now BS-IV compliant and is said to offer more low- and mid-range grunt. Power is rated at 67 bhp and peak torque is now 65.7 Nm, available at 6500 rpm. The Kawasaki Z650 also gets standard ABS and a slipper clutch.
