Isuzu D-Max

Currently, the Isuzu D-Max is in its second generation, which was first launched in 2011. In 2015, the company gave the second-gen D-Max its first major facelift and now the company is again set to give the pick-up a new makeover. Among the new changes, the updated Isuzu D-Max is expected to come with new styling and improved safety features as well. Globally, the Isuzu D-Max comes with LED daytime running lamps, projector headlamps, and alloy wheels along with safety add-ons like six airbags, ABS with EBD, Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control and more.

Powertrain wise, the Thai-spec Isuzu D-Max is powered by a 1.9-litre diesel engine that makes about 150 bhp and develops 350 Nm of peak torque along with a more powerful 3-litre diesel engine that makes 177 bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque. The former comes with the option of a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the 3-lite oil burner has a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed automatic transmission on offer. It is said that Isuzu is also working on a new 2.4-litre diesel motor that might replace the bigger engine.

The Isuzu D-Max pick-up is all set to get a new facelift, and the company will be introducing the updated model next month in Thailand. It is said that the 2017 Isuzu D-Max facelift will come with some considerable cosmetic updates along with new body colour options. Considering the demand for pick-ups in international markets, the Thai version of the D-Max is a lot features rich and comes with a host of safety features as well. Early this year Isuzu even launched the D-Max pick-up in Europe as well.
