CFMoto will be launching the 650MT in India on 19 July, 2019. It is a middleweight adventure touring motorcycle which will take on the likes of the Kawasaki Versys 650 and the Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT ABS. The CFMoto 650 MT will be launched along with other models such as the 300NK, 650NK and the 650GT. It gets a typical ADV design, with a tall stance and relaxed ergonomics. The front end looks butch with a stacked dual headlamps and short windscreen. The 650MT has a length of 2,150 mm and a wheelbase of 1,415 mm. The seat height is quite tall at 840 mm and the motorcycle has a ground clearance of 170 mm.
The CFMoto 650MT has a fuel tank capacity of 18 litres and weighs 213 kg. It gets a 649 cc parallel-twin engine which pumps out 69 bhp at 8,750 rpm and 62 Nm at 7,000 rpm and is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. According to the company, the CFMoto 650 MT has a top speed of 170 kmph. The CFMoto 650MT will be brought to India as a completely knocked down kit (CKD) and we expect it to be priced between Rs. 5.5 lakh to Rs. 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
Cycle parts include 43 mm USD forks, twin disc brakes up front and a single disc brake at the rear along with ABS. The front suspension has a travel of 140 mm and the rear suspension has a travel of just 45 mm. There is a monoshock at the rear which can be adjusted for preload and damping. The motorcycle has already been spotted testing in India and mostly, they will be shod with Metzeler tyres, which are grippy on the road. But the motorcycle is more of a road-biased motorcycle and not quite suited for riding off-road.
