Post WWI, BMW was forced to stop producing aircraft engines. Five years later, the company started producing motorcycles and subsequently got interested in producing 4 wheelers. The Dixi was the first car produced by BMW and the Bavarian car manufacturer hasnt looked back. The BMW umbrella includes the likes of MINI and Rolls Royce. « Less

BMW announced that it will offer an i8 Concours d'Elegance Edition at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance which will take place on the 17th of August. The one-off model will feature a BMW Individual Frozen Grey Metallic exterior and the company's new laser headlights.
BMW India launched the 7 Series ActiveHybrid for a starting price of Rs 1.35 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). The car, which debuted at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show, is now BMW's first hybrid sedan in India and will be brought in the country via the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route.

The 3rd generation which made its global debut towards the end of 2013 sports the new bolder face with the kidney grille getting wider and bigger. But having said that the car doesn't look too heavy up front, because unlike the X3 where remember thinking the bumper looks too heavy, this one has been broken up a little bit.
