Great OverLand Adventure Reaches Home

Having traversed 25 countries and conquered many miles, #GLAadventure approaches the end of this epic journey.

First the cars reach Delhi from Manipur to celebrate India’s 70th Independence Day at Rashtrapati Bhavan and finally these cars and the team head to where it all started at Mercedes Benz India plant in Chakan, Pune. Almost a year ago this global drive was flagged off from this very plant and that is where this epic journey finally comes to an end.

Here are the final moments of team #GLAadventure after it entered India.

From Manipur the cars head to Delhi. The arrival of cars in Delhi coincide with India's 70th Independence Day and #GLAadventure spends a special day at the Rashtrapati Bhavan to mark the end of the drive.

‘These cars may have been all over the world, but there is no feeling that can match this moment, no setting that can make us this happy and proud,’ team #GLAadventure as they end this ‘larger-than-life’ of drive at the Forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan.

In this one year, the Great Overland Adventure travelled through 25 countries across Europe, Africa, North America, Central America, Australia and South East Asia. It covered close to 50,000 kilometres. But more than the kilometres clocked, the journey was made epic by the places and the people who became part of #GLAadventure's journey and made it an experience of a lifetime.
