The graves have been grouped together at Taukkyan to preserve the identity of these graves. Many were transferred here from civil and cantonment cemeteries, and also from a number of isolated jungle and roadside burial sites.

Must Do: Ride An Elephant Coach In Yangon
Today's a special day on the #GLAadventure  - We are having traditional Breakfast on a vintage '30s bus - The Elephant Coach.

The Asia Elephant Coach company painstakingly restores Chevrolet trucks that the British Army used in Myanmar (Burma) during the colonial rule. There are now three coaches in the fleet and they seem perfectly authentic. Their bold, shining red-and-white bodies are straight out of the colonial times.

Yangon is the Blue Sky City!
In Yangon, motorcycles are totally banned. You will not find even a single motorbike on the roads. It's rumored that a motorbike rider showed some offensive gestures to a military general and since then the ban was applied. There is another story that a military general was angered by a motorist who hit his car and a ban was applied.
